Stage 2: Prototype
Stage 2: Prototype is where your product first starts coming together. In this stage, we work out the design and engineering details and we build prototypes. We use the information from Stage 1: Design to figure out which assumptions to test and what technology needs to be built.
This is where a bulk of project time is spent. We iterate and improve through the process of prototyping until a final product is reached.
As most of the planning is already done in Stage 1: Design, we can concentrate our efforts and resources in Stage 2: Prototype to achieve the best possible outcome.
Stage 2: Prototype consists of:
- Building prototypes - foam models, mechanical and electronics
- Bill of materials
- Small batch manufacture (for market testing)
- Drawings and renders
