Product Design

We do not have a big budget, how can we work together?

The best place to start would be to fill the Project Request Form and provide as much information as possible. Our team will then review to see how we can help you based on your requirements, budget and timeline. We realise that every client and every project is different, so we are flexible in our partnership models. Here are some models that we have worked with: 1. You pay us for the work done 2. We take an equity stake in your company 3. We develop and own the solution, you buy it, test and provide us with feedback. We then sell this solution to the rest of the market.

How much does it cost to design a new product?

The truth is we do not know. Every product and every project is different. We can provide ballparks and estimates but that's all these are. Until we are executing, we do not know what the exact costs will be. There are ways that you can control costs. Firstly, look at a Minimum Viable Product to test the market and validity of your solution. Second, breakdown your product development into manageable stages. Third is to make specifications and requirements as "confirmed" as possible. Any changes during development can add on to the costs.

What type of work has mēkā done?

mēkā works across industries building products and solutions for clients and for ourselves. We have built medtech products, sensors, automation systems and even much larger metal trailers. Check out our portfolio.

Will my ideas be confidential?

Absolutely! This is our bread and butter. If we are freely sharing our client ideas, we won't have clients. When we start on a project, we'll be signing Non-Disclosure Agreements to legalise our relationship and responsibilties. While you share your ideas with us, we will also be sharing our approach and ides with you. We hope you keep that confidential too.

Is mēkā hiring? How do i apply?
